Absolutely beautiful hotel bar. What classic regal decor and top tier service, food and drinks.
Stopped in here with 2 friends while in Nice for the day and so glad we did. The champagne cocktail I had was blissful!
Don't bat an eye at the prices though, you get what you pay for. Cocktails will run you approx ~30 euro and the exquisite food menu offers a prix fixe or regular menu items for around ~85 euro. -

SUMMARY: If you would like a hotel that tolerates smoking that penetrates your room and makes you sick, the constant smell of mold, stained carpets, non-working air-conditioning, only one elevator that constantly breaks down, and a dismissive staff that will offer you a worse room than you paid for if you dare complain about your horrible experience then look no further than Le Negresco. For anyone who doesn't know true luxury and has seriously low standards, this is the place to stay.

Go for the truly excellent service, over-the-top architecture, and tasty Royal Negresco cocktail. But know you're going to pay for it (30 euro cocktail). Is it worth it? Well it was really hot outside the day we went and their air-con worked really well, so... no, not worth it otherwise. But something to see nonetheless.

There is a strange situation in Nice as excellent hotels are rare : for a super touristic city, the situation is incomprehensible and most first class hotels are old and in need of renovation.
The Negresco is in a different league as it is considered in the new French classification a palace and has undergone a complete renovation .
The rooms are fresh, modern with a beautiful decoration ; the bathrooms have both tubs and rain showers and look classy.
I stayed in a room with a sea view and I loved it;
The decor was funky modern but the view stunning: Having a continental breakfast overlooking the ocean is a rare treat.
Everything in this hotel is opulent and the restaurant chanteclerc has 2 star Michelin; unfortunately the other restaurant (Rotonde ) is now closed for renovation and the replacement pop37 not very cozy.
One would think that all this luxury comes with a high price but the internet prices are very competitive with the others.
In my opinion, if you want a high end hotel with great service , the Negresco cannot be beaten! -

A gaudy trashpit. Disgustingly pretentious and far past its prime. The tacky design would be laughable if it weren't just sad. There are far better hotels in Nice. Don't be fooled by the Negresco's history. It's an unpleasant, nasty place you should avoid at all costs.
